Queue for Sunday Miscellany

Queue for Sunday Miscellany

A long queue formed outside St. John’s and I was one of the unlucky ones who only made it as far as the inside door. On the advice of David Browne I made an attempt to go up the stairs to the gallery and was caught like a bold child with my foot on the first step! i was politely informed that I was not allowed upstairs. I tried to plead my way in on the grounds that I was helping out on this blog and that they were eagerly awaiting my report but my pleading went unheeded.

The programme will be broadcast on RTE Radio One on Sunday 6th June 2010.

  1. Spotted myself in the queue. It was well worth the wait. The music was heavenly, Lumiere from Dingle and a trio of fabulous musicians. All the contributors were excellent but our own Cyril Kelly brought the house down with his tale of smuggled cement and unpaid debts. I love Sunday Miscellany. This one will be one of the best. Listen in on Sunday next at 9.15a.m. and prepare for a treat.

Then on Sunday afternoon, at 3.30, why not join local historian, Vincent Carmody on a tour of the town. The tour will feature the works of lesser known literary figures like D.C. Hennessey and Louis O Murchรบ. The walking tour will be enriched by the beautiful singing of local soprano, Mary Moylan.
