Listowel Writers' Week Fringe

Blogging Listowel's Literary Scene

“A view from Kerry” blog

Great to find “A View From Kerry“. There is a lovely provocative piece called “Listowel Writers Wrong” here.

Do you expect the Festival to present itself as if it was professionally run? Or do you find it charming when the spelling is wrong? Does it make a difference that the Festival is organised by volunteers? Or would it be better to expect volunteers to get it right?

You can even follow the publisher on Twitter @kerryview

  1. My experience of Listowel ’09…..

  2. Lorraine,
Thank you very much for your fine writing about 2009. I enjoyed it, it brought back memories, and it delighted me when you said you’d be back for more in 2010.

Your Colm Tóibín moment is so well told. I hope you brave the beast again and find him charming this time.

Would you mind if I put your piece up on a page of its own, rather than leave it as a link to be found by the few who read every comment? I’d like to give it room to breathe.

And, while we’re at it, would you write for us this year? Would you help us with content, before, during and after the festival. I’m about to launch a call for help, an invitation to others to join us in the effort to make this blog really good.

    Any chance, please?
